The events of June most affect the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces) through
June 20 and the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) thereafter.
June 1–5
Planetary patterns from May wash over into June and infuse the 1st’s Solar Eclipse with their
unresolved energies. The timing is perfect, aligning the 5 months of keeping the faith with our 5
months of mobilizing and reconnecting — the directive of the Solar Eclipse in Gemini.
The New Moon/Solar Eclipse occurs at 2:03 pm/11°02' Gemini on the 1st. This echoes back to
early April, when an unsettled area of our life got less settled. The climax of the story is past but
perhaps yet to be revealed; this will change in the wake of the eclipse, as hidden truths surface
and change our lives. This carries an energy of “social grounding” or manifestation into the
visible world, as we re-establish connections and make new ones.
On the 2nd, Mercury enters its rulership sign of Gemini to augment our connectivity. It lightens
and moves our spirit, but also brings a crisis of faith if we over-analyze, as we feel its squares to
Neptune and Chiron from now through the 5th. This is a time to feel, just for a couple of days.
We won’t have the answers to all our questions and so won’t be able to offer conclusive
commitments until the fog clears.
The 3rd takes us into the deep again, as the Moon finds the Cardinal planets. Paying attention,
being aware of what we’re feeling without trying to fix it is more useful than executing an
incompletely formed plan. This is intensified by Neptune’s station retrograde today at 0:55'
Pisces, highlighting the area where we need to have faith that it will be all right.
We’ll be clearer about some things on the 4th — what a difference a day makes! Reward, relief,
and release can come today, a step on the way to complete resolution rather than the final
paragraph in this chapter of life. A feeling of hope fills us as Jupiter enters Taurus at 6:56 am.
This is especially good for people with placements in the Earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn).
Communications are clear today, relationships smooth — all systems go!
The 5th shows us what wasn’t said yesterday, uncovers the deeper issues that we are best relaxing
into patiently as we move ahead. There are releases now; the situation is changing. But there is
more to be accomplished in the next wave of our deep transformative process.
June 6–8
The other shoe drops on the 6th – 7th, related to whatever occurred on Saturday (the 4th). It’s all
good. There are deeper considerations afoot that create an undertow on the 5th–8th, revealing what
needs healing in the next round with Chiron. Chiron makes its station retrograde today at 5°29'
Pisces, commencing apparent reverse motion as the Earth catches up to it in its orbit.
The First Quarter Moon at 17°56' Virgo/7:11 pm PT packs a dose of new awareness into it, that
we will act on over the next week. Even if there are unpleasant aspects to this expansion of
perspective, it has a good outcome, as Jupiter sextiles Neptune to create a doorway to higher
consciousness. This will infuse all our experiences, even if we’re not aware of it.
June 9–12
Venus enters Gemini at 7:23 am, further lifting us aloft in our social interactions. Things are
lighter now, but we may be confused about whether what we see is what’s real. The visible and
invisible worlds appear very different now, as Venus squares Neptune and Chiron on the 9th –
13th. The Moon takes us into our weekly foray into the underworld on the 9th – 10th, but it begins
to make sense; we can create a coherent plan and act on it now, after months of not being sure.
Sunday the 12th it all comes together, head and heart united, creating clarity, focus, and direction.
Our relationships flow smoothly, as new understanding calms the waves that previous
unfamiliarity churned up. This is supported and deepened by Saturn’s station direct at 8:52
pm/10°27' Libra. Think back to January 25. Whatever was going on then, we’ll see a shift and
release in a new direction for the situation(s) that arose at that time. The energies are aligned for
harmonious outcomes, but don’t over-commit.
June 13–16
Today’s energies are more abrasive, as Venus squares Chiron. We’re likely to experience a little
“buyer’s remorse” if the social commitments we made over the weekend were based on starry-eyed enthusiasm instead of a rock-solid foundation of experience and trust. (If you have the
foundation and still feel like backing out, that’s your wound talking, not your true self.)
On the 14th, we’re riding the wave of the Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse, which is total and will be
deeply felt. It is about getting to and living your truth. No more split personality. The eclipse
itself occurs at 1:14 pm PT/24°23' Gemini/Sagittarius. With the Moon on the North Node, this
tells us that there’s something from the past that should be brought forward to serve us in the
future. Freedom is the most prized possession right now. Who frees us? That’s who we want to
be with. Mercury moves into Cancer at 12:09 pm, coloring our thoughts more with a feeling pen.
On the 16th, the Moon takes us on a dive into the hidden realms again as it passes through
Cardinal territory.
June 17–20
On the 17th all is calm again. We feel more comfortable with our social contracts, and we can
make calm agreements. This is a good day to sign on the dotted line, providing the time of day
places the planets appropriately. Mercury tunes us in to our more sensitive side, as it trines
Neptune, sextiles Jupiter, then heads toward a trine to Chiron. However, it is in a Cardinal sign,
and it alerts us to the need to change our minds and rethink decisions about some things we
thought were settled, as it tracks over Uranus on the 18th. It’s not that we should go back to the
past, but that we should be braver about embracing the future. We don’t get all the pieces to the
puzzle until the 19th, when Mercury opposes Pluto. Pay attention to this, because it gives us a
glimpse into the future — the one coming in a week (when the Sun opposes Pluto) and the one
coming next year as Uranus makes its long square to Pluto.
The 20th is the last day of Gemini, the last of spring, and we feel the vitality of spring’s growth
becoming complacent in the warm summer sun. Mars doesn’t know that though, as it enters
Gemini today to lift our spirits and makes things move faster.
June 21-27
At 10:17 am PT on the 21st, the Sun enters Cancer to mark the start of summer and the Litha celebration.
Don’t get lost in self-doubt, as Mercury squares Saturn and Mars squares Neptune. These may
dampen our resolve, but this should serve to strengthen it if we are on the right path, upon re-examination. It never hurts to check in. The Sun trines Neptune on the 22nd, but this ease of inner
clarity could get lost in the drama of the Sun’s impending square to Uranus, which can be felt
now, even though it is not exact until Sunday. The energy will build until then and peak on the
27th. This brings a big wake-up call, in the shadow of the next eclipse, which comes on Friday,
July 1.
June 28–30
Mars squares Chiron on the 28th, digging into an area of weakness and woundedness if we have
any on display. This is good, because it shows us where we need to focus our efforts to curb
unhealthy ego expressions. Now we know what to do, as embarrassing as it is to find out. After a
day of no planetary contacts on the 29th (when ironically we may feel like we’re getting hit by
everything), the Moon takes us into the dark once again on the 30th, preparing us for July 1st’s
Solar Eclipse. Listen within for clues to how to manage and focus your energies for the next two
years.

Make no mistake. This is not your ordinary time of change. This is a time when we can cash in
on huge energies that are rarely available. Don’t try to squeeze these energies into the reality we
are used to. Respect the depth of the process and give it time, trusting that all in is order (because
it is), and let yourself be guided into realities you never dreamed were possible.
