IN JANUARY, THE FCC weakened our ability to have full access to internet when it gave over some controls to corporations in the name (but against the spirit) of net neutrality. It brought back to me the freeing realization that the corporations, those big lumbering amoral expressions of mass consciousness are making themselves obsolete by failing to serve the needs of society, of humanity. It is their time to crumble, as Pluto in Capricorn brings a time of “smaller is better”.

I do not give over to fear in saying that the internet could legally be shut down in the name of national security should the revolution start without the corporations at the helm of events. The communication tools that we use now to interact may not be available to us at the times of greatest need — one of many ways we could be controlled. If it is obvious that we therefore need to give up our dependence on these large unfeeling behemoths, it is liberating to know then that we really don’t need them.

As we experience the end of Neptune’s (and Chiron’s) transit of Aquarius, that sign that sends energy in straight-line (well, technically curved) beams with laser-like precision, we see this reflected in our connectivity through microwave beams and crystalline cabling. As these planets both enter Pisces (Chiron on February 8/Neptune on April 4), we diffuse our focus into the great etheric ocean that we inhabit, the “psychic wireless” that we could tap if we knew how. Well, some people do; and we can all learn to use this conductive environment to transmit our thoughts and feelings to and from each other, just as we do now with the internet or mobile phones.

We can train ourselves to go from inter-net to being-net; the internet is an analogy for what we can do without the limiting structures of matter and the physical world. Imagine a planet where we all feel our connections with every other being held in the embrace of its atmosphere, tuning in with precision to those we wish most to connect with. This already exists! Whether or not our technologically based connectivity is ever threatened, we owe it to ourselves and our planet to develop these more efficient and self-sufficient methods of communication — a way that constantly reflects back to us the truth that we are all One.

Chiron and Neptune Add to the Effect.
With Chiron and Neptune entering Pisces, we dive into the watery realms, where energy swirls and spirals, makes figure 8s and vortices: It’s all curves and flow. The ways to heal our imbalances will shift in this direction as well — not so mental now that these bodies are leaving Aquarius. We will know things more by feeling than by thinking. The yearly cycles of these planets start in February as the Sun conjoins them on the 17th (Neptune) and 19th (Chiron).

These bodies of healing and spiritual communion are taking us on a journey back to the recognition of our Oneness, dissolving the illusion that we are separate. When they conjoined in a triple conjunction with Jupiter in 2009, we embarked on this healing of the Great Wound of separation. Now we commence Phase II after the briefest glimpse last mid-year. As these planets part company, Chiron outpacing Neptune, we will see the many ways in which our essential connectivity can be used in place of technology — that as we become more infused with light we become living, co-creative light-filament send-receive modules, fully aware of our contribution to the network of humanity and the broader plant-animal-Gaia consciousness.

Even as the concept of the being-net came through to me, I began to see people accidentally beginning to train in using the being-net. Situations where someone wanted to call but couldn’t and the message got through . . . seemingly trivial circumstances where the participants were in a non-critical situation, where a brief discussion brought the realization that a true communication had taken place without the use of technology . . . or a critical situation where the right knowledge was just “known”.

As these types of experiences occur, they create another form of social proof of our spiritual nature — verification of the existence and potential accuracy of this network.

Through the Wormhole
As I expected, on January 6 we began to work with the energy of the Saturn retrograde, which started with its station on the 25th of the month. What I didn’t expect is how dynamic that energetic process would be!

When I looked, what I saw was a time passageway — a wormhole — through which we could travel if we did Saturn’s process well. It would take us to a new realm where we would “play” with Saturn’s energy during its five months of apparent backward motion. During a planet’s retrograde, we experience its energy with more intensity. If we “get” the planet, we do better, get more out of it, etc. In the past, I have seen the retrograde as an open field or plateau that we climb to, then stay in during the retrograde. I don’t know what happens if you make it through the wormhole, but I know that to make the passage we have to (in Saturn’s case) clear obstructions.

What happens when we clear “ahead of time” the obstructions that Saturn might bring us to during the retrograde? I’m not sure. This is my first time through the wormhole (that I am aware of), but I am in good company as many others have also made it. I do know that I am now experiencing some plot twists quite beyond what I would have expected as January 25 passed.

Even as I say this is tied to Saturn, it is not just Saturn that is creating movement. Jupiter’s entry into Aries (in square to Pluto) has certainly broadened and extended the wormhole. Rapid action, change are now possible, but they have to be co-created, not forced. It has to be organic, not contrived. It arises out of our current experiences, growth, and circumstances. If we have not opened our world to wider possibilities — if we can’t consider the full range of options available to us, we will get less out of the wormhole and what appears on the other side.princecharmingthorns.jpg

This also involves taking risks, perhaps big risks. If we have a strong inner compass, it is easier to feel confident of where we’re going when we feel lost, because big risks involve a higher level of unfamiliarity, more changes at once, and more ripples emanating into our lives. This is the dominant energy now, this cardinal, “make it happen” energy. It is initiating. If you have strong cardinal energy in your nature (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn), you are singing “YES!” to this refrain. If you are more fixed (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) or mutable (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces) — not so much. We all have to adapt to the forces that surround us, and we all have the capacity to beneficially use and direct any forces in our lives, even if we don’t yet completely understand how.

Generally speaking, the more “informed risk” we can take now, the more we’ll get out of life in the years to come, even if it’s not what we expected or thought we wanted when we launched. I see around me so many people who are mobilizing. It is a time when the potential for manifestation of our dreams is great — not their fulfillment but our embarkation on the journey to fulfillment.

The Prince in the Wilderness, or How Rapunzel Will Save Us
The myths and fairy tales handed down to us from prehistory carry sky lore encoded in them. In fairy tales, the Prince is Mars on his courageous and seemingly foolish quest. The ancient shamans watched Mars descend into the Sun every two years, as if the Great Light were swallowing up the star of what we burn for. They saw this as a process by which we entered the Underworld to strip off what doesn’t serve us — the ego. The Prince lost his sight so that he could See (with inner eyes). Meanwhile, Rapunzel escapes the tower where the wicked stepmother had been keeping her captive. She finds her Prince and kisses his eye, her feminine qualities interpenetrating his new wisdom, restoring his sight.

Last November-December, Mercury and Mars made two conjunctions to connect awareness to action in complex interactions that also involved other planets. Sometimes-painful realizations impelled us to shake off the dust, scrape off the cobwebs, and move in situations which had previously stymied and confounded us. These planets reconnect on the 20th in an incredible triple conjunction with Neptune (~28°31' Aquarius). This is the 5th such triple-interaction that has graced us with wide-open doorways to what’s true, to get us in alignment with Who We Are.

In this episode, we act out our vision of transitioning from past to future. It may not completely fit our expected picture, and it may not happen all at once. Nevertheless, we are launched. The connections with Neptune reveal some final, hidden elements that will factor into where we’re going. Our vision of what’s to come is sharpened on the 22nd – 24th when Mercury and Mars make contact with Chiron, newly in Pisces.

We’ll feel the urge to jump into that soft fluffy pile of pillows at the bottom of the cliff. No problem — you’re going to fly!

Jupiter into Everything

chartc0211.jpg

I was stunned by the sweep and charge, the upsurge of energy as Jupiter entered Aries, and I remember learning that just like James Bond striding into a cocktail party, when Jupiter enters a sign, he takes it over completely and instantaneously. This is with the aid and support of Pluto, with whom Jupiter danced last summer (late July – early August). During that time we were gutted and stripped of old obstructive energies, liberated to the True Self. Even though painful, it was necessary to take off the centuries-old straightjacket of collective consciousness to see what might be if we dare to dive into the new. We went from spiritual zip-lining to spiritual hang-gliding, charting our own course on the energy thermals.

The theme is the same, but it’s more active, as Jupiter will complete its story this time, not just give us the teaser-trailer. The dance of these titans perfects on the 25th, giving us a long window through which to blast the past from our consciousness. Of course, not all things from the past need be eliminated, and that’s where wisdom and finesse come in. We will also be making choices among the new opportunities that are flowering in our lives, pulling them from our garden of possibility so the sprouts we want to nurture can grow stronger with our more focused love and attention.

Jupiter will zoom through Aries, its retrograde rethinking process imposed on Aries last year. It carries Pluto’s threads of transformation forward, giving us a preview of what’s to come as Pluto covers the same vibrational turf through 2024. In February’s chapter of this story, this transformation comes through love. Venus makes the first of several dynamic patterns (a cardinal T-square, technically) on the 4th – 14th, with this process grounding into our lives on the wave of the 18th’s Full Moon. Deep authenticity is the theme. Shallowly founded relationships must deepen or die, while deeply grounded relationships will blossom.

December Was a True Turning Point.
Last year was the year that was, and December was its capstone. Its energies were huge in our lives. Layer upon layer of nuances of number reverberated with overtones in 3rds and 4ths to spiral and spark across our inner landscape like so many faeries. The period November 22 – January 17 will be gigantic for us for years to come. From November-January, all the influences that have flowed through our lives since January 2008 came to a peak; now the only path is to bring what we’ve learned down from the mountain, to share with others. We have a choice of the comfortable if unexciting familiar or the clamoring, fascinating territory of the new (and a blend of the two). Now we get to live with our choices and test them, at least until the next energy window of opportunity presents itself (which is not long off).

February is a time of testing and checking, of refining and adjusting, based on the choices we’re making. We pass our ideas through the sieve of humanity as the planets transit the fixed Air sign of Aquarius, allowing the community to report its findings in our researches.

We get to stay in the field we’re cultivating right now, building force, sinking our energy, calling down heaven’s light, planting our seeds — to see what grows. We have made our offering to the heavens, and the heavens have responded dispassionately, simply reflecting our creative process back to us: We get what we want now.

But do we want what we get — that perfect reflection of who we are in this moment? We will see the tip of that iceberg in February.

The Heavenly Procession

solar-system.jpg
The fast-moving bodies form a troop marching through the month, strung like pearls that give

their wisdom with each outer-planet contact. First is Mars with the Sun close behind. Mercury is next rapidly chasing down Mars to deliver his missives from the past. The Messenger reconnects with the Prince of the Sky on the 20th, bringing to fruition the seeds planted on November 22, seemingly so long ago (see above). Far behind is Venus. She has survived her journey through the Underworld last fall, is now recovering her raiment, ending all matters with love.

Mars, Sun, and Mercury bring a quick staccato of activations that light up our energy field, focusing on healing processes as they make contact with Chiron and Neptune. They sink us into the commitments and responsibilities we’ve taken on as they trine Saturn, the Maker of Divine Social Contracts, from its position in Libra. Venus guards the rear, protecting us (as the Morning-Star Warrioress) and softening our outcomes.

Saturn is retrograde now, and we find ourselves on that level plateau after a steep climb in January. The air is fresh and clean, but the fields are untilled; there’s work to do. We have 5 months to learn from within the parameters now established. Whether we feel comfort or confinement in the playground we’ve created depends on our perspective, plus how well we’ve expanded our boundaries and cleared the debris prior to the retrograde’s commencement.

Jupiter in Aries has thrust us through the Gates of Change, co-creative bodhisattvas each of us, whirling new forms into being. It brings endings to us as well, as its 13-month solar cycle (begun last February 28) completes on April 6. We’re revisiting situations and stories from June 6 – September 9 last year. Uranus lends its sparkle and zing from the same zone of the Zodiac, bringing out Phase II of the story with plots twists galore this year once it enters Aries on March 12. For now, we have time to pack those boxes, clear our emotions, and get ready to travel more light-ly.

Pluto Is in Stealth Mode.
We ignore Pluto and the unconscious world it represents at our peril, and Jupiter reminds us to pay homage by stripping away the unnecessary when it squares this denizen of the deep earth on the 25th. This energy colors our process and perspective as we move into the spring. The initial salvo into our lives was felt immediately in January, with the first test of our seaworthiness on the 6th – 9th, when Venus connects these ancient gods and brings our own “State of the Union” awareness where love is concerned.

Another Echo from Last Year
On the 26th, Uranus squares the Moon’s Nodes at the degree of December’s powerful Lunar Eclipse. Situations on our mind in December will be nudged past a turning point; decisions must be made, decisive action taken.

With Venus trailing the pack, everything ends in love. We humans need her help to feel this omnipresent, ever-expanding life-force energy. This month she helps us fulfill our miracles of connectedness, one of the steps on the path to personal and planetary harmony.

February In Depth

February 1–2
The New Moon on the 2nd at 6:31 pm/13°54' Aquarius colors these days deep. The trip into the dark, when the Moon is invisible to us, is augmented by Mars’s coinciding journey. We’re stamped and approved for the next phase of our journey, which lasts both a month (with the Moon) and two years (Mars). We may feel confused, unable to see what’s coming to us, but there is order in the universe and in our lives: Move toward harmony, and harmony will come to us.

On the 2nd, Venus squares Uranus at 28°03' Pisces. This plants the seeds for the awakening of love and for unexpected blessings to enter our lives. Another miracle-maker! This contact echoes back to events in November-December, especially the Lunar Eclipse on 12/21 and various contacts at the end of November/beginning of December. What was going on for you then?

February 3–6
On the 3rd (the Chinese New Year for this Year of the Rabbit), Mercury enters idealistic Aquarius, while Venus goes into Capricorn to continue the pragmatic, earthy vibe. The Sun finally reaches Mars at 15°31' Aquarius on the 4th, commencing our warrior’s journey out of the Underworld. Mars will be visible as a morning star from April 17, but we don’t have to wait until then to embark on our journey. Rapunzel has kissed our eyes and now we can see, but with Sun and Mars also trining Saturn through the 6th, we’ll use our sight to build edifices of new consciousness and love.

February 6–14
Venus comes again to remind us that, no matter the challenges we face, we’re in it for the long haul now; we do it for love. She squares Jupiter on the 6th, expanding our awareness of where we need to adjust our direction so that love is a bigger polynomial in our life equation. We will also detect a shift in the way we love, as we discover any ways that we obstruct love in our relationships with others. On the 9th she conjoins Pluto, carrying Jupiter’s expansive brightness to light the Underworld. Somehow the truths we discover there must be carried above ground and translated into the language of humanity as expressions of our essential and eternal Oneness.

Mercury smooths the way with a constructive trine to Saturn on the 14th. After we’ve taken action through Mars, Mercury brings understanding. Action and understanding come together in a crescendo of awareness on the 20th.

Valentine’s Day’s planets present an invitation to make it real, as the Moon reconnects Jupiter, Pluto, and Venus. This will be a chance to move through obstacles, not to firm up a commitment unless blockages are dealt with first.

February 15-19
Now we move into the energy of the Full Moon, which expands our awareness at 0:36 am/ 29°20' Leo on the 18th. This is on the star Regulus, Royal Star at the Heart of the Lion. This is the King-Maker, and his (her) reign is successful so long as humility is maintained. The big steps and high risks of these cardinal times have their after-effects, and one of them is self-doubt. We are inclined to sit in judgment of our recent actions with a more parental eye as Venus squares Saturn today. Don’t let that fool you into thinking less of yourself and the others you care about. At 4:25 pm, the Sun enters Pisces to take us into that late-winter peaceful hush before the joyous cacophony of spring.

We feel into what needs healing now, as the Sun conjoins Chiron at 0°45' Pisces on the 19th. It’s a new field of energy, a new mission in our journey to wholeness. We see into the coming 8 years, while we plant the seeds for Year One of Chiron’s stay in Pisces. On the 17th, we get a glimpse of what’s coming with the triple conjunction on the 20th.

February 20-24
The forces of Mercury, Mars, and Neptune come together in a triple conjunction at 2:44–8:19 pm (28°31' Aquarius) on the 20th to create a magical moment. Mars’s adventurous energy is matched to Neptune’s vision of the hidden world, while Mercury connects visible to invisible. Observe what occurs. Be receptive to your inner perceptions.

Assimilate this quickly: Conditions change when Mercury enters Pisces at 12:53 pm on the 21st and Mars does the same on the 22nd (5:06 pm). We’ll be getting a whole new perspective when the Moon tracks over these planets on the 24th. Hold to your truth with flexibility.

February 25-28
Finally, finally, we get to Jupiter’s square to Pluto (7°02' Aries-Capricorn/12:29 pm). Even though the event will be anti-climactic, we will feel a shift in intensity if we observe. We will continue to feel this dynamic in our lives with generally decreasing intensity through May. Pay attention as Jupiter travels the remaining cardinal degrees. It will send signals about what’s coming as Uranus and Pluto travel the same degrees in the coming years.
