I offer a complete home study program in astrology. Please read the information below to find out more specifics about how the courses work. The web page on the Astrological Certification Program explains the program and the curriculum from which the home study program is derived.
What is the Home Study Program?
Thank you for your interest in the Astrological Certification Program Home Study Program, providing quality astrological education where you learn at your own pace! The course follows the Astrological Certification Program curriculum. It consists of the tapes and materials from the classroom, recorded live. The program is structured into courses. For the first two levels, there is one course per level (and one optional test at the end of each level). There are 16-17 lessons per course, one for each class in the course. There are additional optional lessons at each level should you desire more practice in selected topics.
How Does It Work?
The course is $30 per lesson, which includes 10 minutes of tutoring via phone or email. If you want to order an entire course at one time, you will get free shipping and handling. Each lesson includes a lesson plan with reading and homework assignments, 1-2 tapes, handouts and personal charts as applicable. Additional charts, other than those provided for a class, are available on request for $5 each (+$3 shipping).
You can request that the materials be sent all at once to get the free S&H, or at regular intervals (weekly, biweekly---regular shipping and handling fees apply). A shipping and handling fee of $5 is added to each mailing for the first lesson being mailed, plus $2 for each additional lesson mailed at the same time.
Tutoring (in addition to the tutoring included with each lesson) is available by phone or in person by appointment at $1 per minute with a $20 minimum for phone/email.
All payments, with the exception of per-minute fees, must be made in advance.
At the time you sign up for a course, you will be given a booklist and a curriculum guide with homework assignments for the course or class(es) that you have paid for. I try to ensure that the books I list are in print and readily available through most bookstores. If you live in southern California, I can recommend stores where the books can be purchased. They can always be ordered toll-free from The Controversial Bookstore at 800-897-BOOK.
I will ask you to sign an agreement regarding the course that is designed to clarify what you want and agree to as well as what you can expect from us. In particular, you will use this to let me know how you want the lessons issued to you and how you wish to pay.
I will keep you informed about testing, class, and workshop dates if you live in southern California, and I can network you with people in your area for the testing program. You can also take them at a conference where they are offered, or you can always come to sunny San Diego, and I can administer any of the tests to you.
How do I enroll?
When you are ready, request an enrollment form, which you can return via email or snail mail. I accept payment via check, money order, or www.paypal.com, where you can pay via credit card.
